A First Person Bio
In an effort of transparency I will not pretend to be someone else writing my biography. Hello, I'm Adam, and this is my professional website. I've rented adamschatz.com for the next five years, after which I'll be auctioning it off and buying a boat with my earnings. I'll also be buying boating lessons. I was born in 1987 and play music using mostly keyboards, saxophone, various pedals and knobs, and my voice. I'm getting pretty good at being pretty bad at some other instruments as well, but I'm better at conducting other folks who play those instruments.
I live in New York City, a hot bed for kind people with big talent and funny jokes who haven't yet moved to California or the woods. I do my best to bump foreheads with as many of those people as I can. I am often on tour with Landlady or working out of my recording studio in Ditmas Park.

I have performed live with Sylvan Esso, Japanese Breakfast, Hand Habits, Man Man, William Tyler & more
I have recorded horns & keys on albums for Those Darlins, Adia Victoria, Man Man, Why?, Rostam, Vampire Weekend, Quilt, Sleigh Bells, She Keeps Bees
I often come up with excuses to organize special concert projects. Those have included:
